Shed your winter layers with the Inaugural Strip 'n Run 5K! Layer up as you have a blast during this unique 5K clothing drive. No birthday suits allowed but wear as many layers as you can and shed them along the course at our 4 Strip Stations. Think you will wear the most layers? Prove it in our 'Show me you Layers' contest. The Strip 'n Run will not be timed so you can enjoy the on course entertainment and Strip Stations. Particpants will receive an awesome t-shirt. Start weeding out your closest and 'Strip it to Give it' this Spring!

After the race, registered participants (21 plus) may enjoy one complimentary beer provided by Dos XX in the beer garden on Virginia Avenue!

The 5K course will start and end near Scotty's Brewhouse on Virgina Avenue. The route will incorporate downtown landmarks and neighborhoods. One water station will be located approximately half way through the course as well as the Start and Finish Line. Mile markers and clocks will be displayed at each mile.

Clothes will be given to local Indianapolis charities

Participants will wear as many layers as possible and remove their garments as they approach 1 of 4 'Strip Stations'. For those that cannot participate but still wish to donate clothing, it may be dropped off at Packet Pick-Up or on Race Day.

We need over 60 volunteers to make this a successful event! Volunteer positions include Packet Pick-Up, Finish Line, Course, and the Water Station. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Brian Petersson with Vision Event Management. Email: Brian@VisionEventManagement.com

Q. When is the registration deadline?

A. Online registration for the Strip 'n Run will close on Thursday, April 11 at 11:59 PM EDT. Paper registration forms must be postmarked by Thursday, April 4. Race day registration will be available.

Q. How does the 'Show me you Layers' contest work?

A. Before you head out on the course find the Official Layer Counting Area. This area will be clearly marked and judges will be counting how many layers you have. Participants with the most layers will win awesome prizes and fantastic bragging rights for a great cause!

A. There is no age limit for the Strip 'n Run.

Q. May walkers participate?

A. Yes! There is a 20 minute/mile pace on the course.

Q. I have a friend who cannot participate in the event. Can I take his/her place?

A. Each participant must have his/her own registration. In the event of an emergency, race official must have emergency contact information on hand, therefore you are NOT allowed to participate using someone else's registration. There are NO exceptions to this policy.
