Drumstick Dash Header

The 4th Annual Drumstick Dash 5K presented by Sendik's Food Market returns to Miller Park on Thanksgiving morning (Thursday, November 26, 2015) at 8:30 AM. The Drumstick Dash 5K is a 3.1 mile run/walk benefitting Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, where each $1 donated provides 3 meals to a hungry neighbor in Eastern Wisconsin. Be a part of this unique food drive!

Food Drive

Feeding  America Eastern Wisconsin will accept food donations on race day.  Volunteers will be on hand accepting donations.  Suggested nonperishable items to donate include: peanut butter, cereal, tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice and canned soup. 

Monetary donations will also be accepted.  Every $1 donated provides 3 meals to a hungry neighbor.  

Raffle tickets will be given for every food item and every $1 donated. Raffle tickets will be issued just outside Miller Park at the Clock Tower entrance.

        - Peanut Butter

        - Cereal & Snack Bars

        - Tuna

        - Canned Vegetables

        - Juice & Canned Fruit

        - Pasta & Rice

        - Soup

Drumstick Dash Divider

At the start line there will be 4 divisions. Look for the division signs and line up accordingly!

        - Runners

        (There will be pace signs for the running division. They include: 

        6 &  Under, 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12-13, 13-14, 14 &

        Over minutes/mile)

        - Runners w/strollers

        - Walkers

        - Walkers w/strollers

**Kids will have Blue Bibs and will be allowed to line up in any division so they can run with their parents**

There will also be pace signs. This, and the 4 divisions, is to give participants more room to run or walk and to ensure a controlled start for the race festivities.

Won't be in Milwaukee for Thanksgiving?

Do the "Outta Town Dash Around"! Your registration will include a race shirt! The shirt will be mailed to you before Thanksgiving at the address you provide on the registration form. Take your shirt with you and run, and know that you're providing food for a neighbor in need.

A. Online registration for the Drumstick Dash will close on Tuesday, November 24th at 11:59 PM CST. Paper registration forms must be postmarked by Thursday, November 19th. Race day registration will be available.

Q. How does the raffle work?

A. For each nonperishable food donation item or $1 you bring you will receive 1 raffle ticket. Check the raffle board by the big clock tower immediately after the race to see if you won!

A. Yes! There is a 20 minute/mile pace on the course.

Q. I have a friend who cannot participate in the event. Can I take his/her place?

A. Each participant must have his/her own registration. In the event of an emergency, race official must have emergency contact information on hand, therefore you are NOT allowed to participate using someone else's registration. There are NO exceptions to this policy.
